Venue: Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry
The Indian Chamber of Commerce Japan (ICCJ) proudly co-hosted a Seminar and Business Exchange Meeting with the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), India, on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This collaborative event was organized in partnership with the Consulate General of India, Osaka-Kobe, and the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).
A key highlight of the event was the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ICCJ and PHDCCI, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at promoting mutual cooperation and strengthening Indo-Japan business relations. The MoU signifies a shared commitment to fostering collaboration between Indian and Japanese companies through knowledge-sharing, trade facilitation, and joint initiatives across various sectors.
PHDCCI, a leading Indian industry body with a vast network spanning major Indian states and cities—including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, and Gurugram—brought a diverse delegation to Osaka. The delegates represented industries such as textiles, apparel, home decor, IT, construction equipment, real estate, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture, all eager to explore trade and investment opportunities in Japan.
The seminar featured:
- Opening remarks by dignitaries from the organizing institutions
- An introduction to PHDCCI and its mission to deepen global business ties
- A session on Japan-India cooperation, highlighting strategic pathways for bilateral collaboration
Following the seminar, a business networking session allowed Indian delegates and Japanese participants to explore new business avenues, share insights, and establish direct connections.
The ICCJ extends its sincere gratitude to all participants, co-organizers, and supporters for contributing to the success of this meaningful event. The MoU with PHDCCI marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to serve as a bridge between Indian and Japanese industries.
We look forward to implementing joint activities and creating impactful business opportunities in the months to come.
